The hire will lead deal teams in making and managing long-term, direct equity investments with a focus on North America in evaluating potential principal investment opportunities, conducting research, developing investment recommendations, negotiating terms and executing transactions. Applicants should have 10 plus years of private equity or industry executive experience, demonstrating specialization in technology investing with a proven track record of successful investments or allocation of capital through operating experience. He or she should have an undergraduate and graduate degree (most likely MBA, JD or similar). A CFA/CBV or CA is considered an asset. The position is in Toronto.

Prudential’s alternative assets group is seeking a senior investment professional to join the firm’s private equity team. Duties include serving as one of Prudential’s private equity specialists. He or she will be informed about current and developing trends in the sector, originating primary private equity fund, co-investment and secondary opportunities and leading deal team in the evaluation and underwriting of fund, co-investment and secondary opportunities across various strategies. Candidates should have five plus years of prior investment experience investing in private equity funds, co-investments and secondary investments across multiple strategies and geographies. A MBA or equivalent degree or CFA is preferred. The position is in Newark.

OpenView Partners is looking to hire a senior associate. The hire will be responsible for driving deals from initiation to close while quarterbacking the diligence process on small deal teams of two to three individuals. Applicants should have experience in an investing role at a technology-focused venture or growth equity firm for at least two years with a track record of investing in interesting companies. The Carlyle Group’s AlpInvest Partners is seeking an associate. Duties include preparing and reviewing reports and analyses for investors, management and regulators as well as answering investor questions, preparing quantitative analyses of the firm’s track record to support fundraising efforts and assisting with internal operations of funds and separate accounts. Applicants should have advanced Excel modelling skills and a degree from a top-tier university in economics, finance or other quantitative discipline with an affinity for finance; a CFA (or progress towards) is preferred. Knowledge of private equity is a plus. The position is in New York.

NEPC LLC is searching for a private equity senior consultant. The hire will serve as the primary contact with private equity managers, which includes identifying, interviewing and performing due diligence for new private equity managers as well as existing managers. Also, he or she will assist in client meetings to discuss private equity industry trends as well as recommending potential investments and constructing plans for implementation into client portfolios. Applicants should have seven plus years of experience in private equity. A college degree is required. Working knowledge of FactSet, RMS and Spotfire is also a plus. The position is in Boston.
