Ludgate Environmental Fund, the AIM-listed cleantech investment vehicle, has invested £5m in New Earth Solutions Group, a UK waste treatment and renewable energy company.
Aiming to raise £15m in total, the money raised at this first closing will be used to accelerate the growth of both New Earth’s waste treatment and renewable energy businesses.
This is the second fundraising undertaken by New Earth. In February 2008, environmental investors Impax Asset Management invested £4m.
