MARKET AT A GLANCE

After just three months on the fundraising trail, Boston-based buyout firm Charlesbank Capital Partners closed its eighth fund with $1.75 billion in commitments, surpassing its $1.5 billion fundraising target and hitting its hard cap.

On the deals front, U.S.-based financial sponsors completed 33 deals between July 7 and July 18 with a disclosed deal volume of almost $4.3 billion, according to Thomson Reuters, the publisher of Buyouts.

The largest deal to be completed involved an investor group, including Arbejdsmarkedets Tillaegs-Pension (ATP), Bain Capital LLC and Advent International Corp, which acquired the entire share capital of Nets Holding A/S, a Denmark-based provider of electronic payment services, from Den Danske Bank A/S, Nordea Bank AB, DNB ASA, Danmarks Nationalbanken and other undisclosed shareholders, for DKK 17 billion ($3.2 billion) in cash, in a leveraged buyout transaction.
