MBOI approves $180m in commitments

The Helena-based organization has committed to three private equity vehicles.

Montana Board of Investments has approved a $180 million commitment across three private equity funds, according to a May 2022 board meeting document.

The commitments comprise $60 million each to Sumeru Equity Partners Fund IV, Veritas Capital Fund VIII and Angeles Equity Partners II.

As illustrated below, MBOI’s recent private equity commitments have primarily focused on venture capital and buyout funds targeting investments in North America and Asia-Pacific. Private investments, which include both private equity and private debt, constitute 8.82 percent of the organization’s investment portfolio.
