Brunswick Capital Limited has appointed Nicholas Hofgren as a managing director. Reporting directly to Christopher Mackenzie, chairman and CEO of Brunswick Capital, his role will span Brunswick Capital and its wholly owned subsidiary companies: Brunswick Asset Management, Brunswick Rail Leasing and Brunswick Real Estate. Hofgren brings significant experience in corporate finance, private equity and business development. He has significant experience in a number of emerging markets including the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and South America.
Previously, Hofgren was a director EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) (EMEA) of the JP Morgan Chase private funds group, where he was responsible for successfully building a six- person team to identify Limited Partners and General Partners in EMEA. Other past positions include vice president, regional manager EMEA private equity fund placement at Bank of America. He was also a director, business development (private equity/corporate finance) for Soyuz-Capital, where he specialised in proprietary equity arbitrage investments.
