New partner at Dorsey & Whitney

Michael McFall has been appointed partner at the London office of international law firm Dorsey & Whitney.

McFall joined the firm in 1998 and will focus on private equity, technology and M&A. The appointment is in line with the firm’s plans for strategically expanding in the UK. John Byrne, partner-in-charge of Dorsey & Whitney’s London office, said: “Michael’s promotion reflects his strong capabilities, as well as the success of the London office, which is receiving a growing number of instructions for M&A and capital markets legal work in the technology sector.”

Dorsey and Whitney’s strengths lie in corporate-commercial and corporate finance and IP work, both in the technology sector and for technology teams in a number of investment banks. The firm also acts for investors in European high tech companies, advising on pan-European venture capital projects.
