New SCM chair.

Professor Dr Stefan Sander has been elected as the new chairman of Strategic Capital Management following the firm’s annual meeting.

Since the company’s establishment in 1996, Prof Dr Stefan Sander has been a member of the SCM board. As chairman, he will focus on the firm’s strategic initiatives and direction and as a controlling expert he continues to support the management team with his specialised knowledge.

Prof Dr Sander has more than 15 years of professional experience. In 1990 he became project manager at the Controller Center St Gallen and was in charge of adopting, training and implementing controlling concepts. One year later he became lecturer at the University of St Gallen. Since 1998 he has been a partner and head of the Competence Center Controlling at the international business consultancy firm HSP Consulting AG as well as lecturer at the St Gallen Business School. In 1999 he became executive lecturer controlling and accounting at the Graduate School St. Gallen and was assigned professor for controlling and accounting at the Steinbeiss University, Berlin in 2002. He succeeds Benedikt Schürch as chairman of the company as Schürch, in agreement with the board of directors, did not seek re-election to the board in order to be able to focus all his time on his entrepreneurial activities.
