Nomura builds clean tech team

Nomura International has appointed Whitney Rockley as principal of New Energy and Clean Technology Ventures. Rockley joins from TEC Edmonton in Canada where she provided financial oversight, coached early stage technology companies and provided guidance on the establishment of an early-stage technology fund.

Based in London, she will be assist in investing in the North American clean technology venture capital sector, as well as structuring expansion-stage investments and accelerating the growth of portfolio companies.

The New Energy & Clean Technology Ventures is a division of Nomura’s merchant banking business in Europe. It was launched in late 2006 with the appointment of Russell Pullan.
