Nomura lands head for new clean tech arm

Japanese financial services giant Nomura International has hired Russell Pullan as director of New Energy and Clean Technology Ventures. He has joined from the UK’s Carbon Trust where he was head of venture capital. This new business will invest in new and alternative energy companies, along with clean technologies for water and other industries. It will invest in private companies that are pre-IPO and at an advanced stage of development.

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Pullan advised venture capital and private equity funds on clean energy and related environmental technology investments, as well as working in project finance.
