Octopus hires

UK-based alternative investment specialists Octopus Investments has appointed Karl E. Jentoft as marketing director.

Jentoft will be responsible for overseeing the development of Octopus’s marketing and brand strategy. He will report to Simon Rogerson, Chief Executive of Octopus.

The new marketing director has financial services and entrepreneurial experience. Throughout his career, he has overseen the development and implementation of business and marketing strategies for both start-up businesses and multi-national corporations.

Jentoft’s retail financial experience includes ten years at Capital One Inc (1994 – 2003), where he was responsible for overseeing the organisation’s successful expansion into non-credit card related businesses and establishing the Capital One brand within the Canadian market.
