On the move, 8.28.2017 – Blackstone names director of infrastructure

PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS

Angeles Equity Partners: Joining are Maxwell Schechter as vice president of business development and James Lee and Shan Siddiqui as associates. Previously, Schechter was at Lindsay Goldberg while Lee was at Jefferies and Siddiqui at Credit Suisse.

Angelo, Gordon & Co’s middle-market lending subsidiary, Twin Brook Capital Partners, named Timothy Schifer a managing director and Vishal Sheth chief financial officer. Schifer is a former director of portfolio management at Madison Capital Funding while Sheth is a former director on Angelo Gordon’s finance and accounting team.

Blackstone named Stephen R. Bolze a senior managing director and head of portfolio operations and asset management for the firm’s newly launched infrastructure business. Bolze is the former president and CEO of General Electric Power.

General Atlantic: John A. Prasetio, former ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Indonesia to the Republic of Korea, joined GA as a special adviser. He will support the firm’s strategic business initiatives in Southeast Asia.

GPB Capital hired Dotty Bollinger as managing partner in charge of its new healthcare strategy. Bollinger previously was CEO of Integrity Healthcare Advisors.

Jadian Capital: Jarret Cohen formed the firm, which will invest in the commercial, residential and alternative real estate sectors. Cohen was previously head of private real estate at Fir Tree Partners.

Kinzie Capital Partners, the Chicago private equity firm, hired Nada Litwin as vice president and general counsel. Litwin had been a partner at Fox Swibel Levin & Carroll in the corporate, securities and investment management group.

LightBay Capital hired David Leeney as a managing director and head of business development. Leeney most recently was head of global origination at Gores Group.

Macquarie Capital appointed Anand Subramanian a managing director and co-head of private capital markets in its San Francisco office. He previously was head of technology private capital markets at Morgan Stanley.

Meketa Investment GroupAmy Hauke joined as executive vice president, private markets consultant. Hauke most recently was a senior consultant in Aon Hewitt’s private equity group.

Monroe Capital hired Cesar Gueikian as a managing director and co-portfolio manager. Gueikian will lead the firm’s new special situations credit strategy and manage its special situations credit fund. Gueikian is a founder and was managing partner at Melody Capital Partners.

NRD Capital Management named John Teza a director. Teza previously was chief development officer at Corner Bakery Café, a Roark Capital portfolio company.

PantheonMatt Jones and Rudy Scarpa were appointed co-heads of the global private equity secondaries team. Elly Livingstone, who has led this team since 2004, will focus on fundraising and investment.

Periscope Equity: S. Brian Mukherjee joined as a partner. Mukherjee has served as an executive adviser to the firm since it was formed.

Pritzker Group Private CapitalGeorge Couto joined as a vice president. Couto was formerly with Palladium Equity Partners.

Teza Capital Management named Reinhold Gebert chief operating officer and chief risk officer. Gebert previously held the same posts at Gresham Investment Management.

Wind Point Partners appointed Ron Liberman director of investor relations, marketing and communications. He most recently served as head of investor relations at Sterling Partners.

Z Capital Group named Andrew Coats an operating partner. Coats previously was director of the development management team at BlackRock Real Estate Advisors.

PORTFOLIO COMPANIES

AIM Aerospace, backed by Liberty Hall Capital Partners, appointed Daniele Cagnatel president and CEO. Cagnatel is former president and CEO of GKN Aerostructures North America. AIM Aerospace is the Washington state provider of composite ducting, structural and interior parts for the global aerospace industry.

Ascensus, backed by Genstar Capital and Aquiline Capital Partners, named David L. Musto president. Musto is former president of Great-West Investments. Ascensus is the Dresher, Pennsylvania, tech-enabled-solutions provider.

Diversey, a provider of food hygiene and cleaning solutions, named Ilham Kadri president and CEO. Kadri’s appointment is effective when Bain Capital Private Equity completes its acquisition of Diversey. The seller is Sealed Air. The deal is expected to close in September 2017.

Legacy Measurement Solutions, a portfolio company of White Deer Energy, named Joseph S. Compofelice chairman and CEO. Legacy provides engineered measurement, production and process equipment to the oil and natural gas industry.

R2i, a Baird Capital portfolio company, named Jennifer Quinlan CEO. Quinlan succeeds Matt Goddard, R2i’s co-founder. Quinlan most recently served as North American digital practice leader for IBM Global Business Services, Distribution Sector.

Serenova, backed by Marlin Equity Partners, named Tom Schollmeyer CEO. He previously was vice president and general manager of customer engagement UC applications and cloud at Avaya. Serenova is the Austin, Texas, contact-center-as-a-service provider.

Sports Information Group, a portfolio company of Z Capital, named Richard Glynn to the board. Glynn founded Alinsky Partners. SIG publishes horse racing’s Daily Racing Form.

Sur La Table, a cooking and dining supplies retailer, named Billy May CEO. May most recently was senior vice president at Abercrombie and Fitch. Sur La Table is backed by Investcorp.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Baird hired Anne-Marie Peterson as a managing director for its global debt advisory team. Peterson previously was a managing director at KeyBanc Capital MarketsCraig Rogowski joined Baird’s global investment banking business as a director on its global technology and services team. He previously was at Pacific Crest Securities, a tech unit at KeyBanc Capital Markets.

Capstone Partners: Joining the middle-market investment bank are Peter Asiaf as managing director, Chris Ferrara as director and Caitlyn Dargel, James Kline, Nick Littas, Josh Owczarski and Jay Wongwatana-anan as analysts.

Citizens Capital Markets: The Western Reserve Partners unit named John Paul Siemborski and Brennan Igoe vice presidents. Robert J. Exler was hired as an analyst after serving as an intern at the firm last summer.

Constellation Advisers named Lusine Moshkounian managing director of its regulatory and compliance group, leading its western region regulatory and compliance practice. Moshkounian was previously vice president at Cordium.

FirstavenueChris Tehranian joined as principal, head of U.S. project management. Tehranian previously spent 10 years at Meketa Investment Group as head of infrastructure research.

Goodwin added Alexandrine Armstrong-Cerfontaine as partner in the law firm’s international private equity and private investment funds practice. Armstrong-Cerfontaine will be based in the London office. She previously consulted to Goodwin. She is also a former managing partner at King & Wood Mallesons’ Luxembourg office. Goodwin also hired Ian O’Donnell in the private investment funds practice as a partner in San Francisco. O’Donnell will work with private investment funds Partners Jonathan AxelradGerry ChaconRob Fore and Brian McDaniel.

Jones Day named Charles Chau a Hong Kong-based partner in the international law firm’s M&A practice. Chau has almost 20 years of experience advising clients in a range of business sectors in Hong Kong, China and Asia-Pacific.

Taylor Frigon Capital Management, the San Luis Obispo, California, investment manager, appointed James McConaghy to head its institutional sales efforts. McConaghy previously covered investors in Europe at Eaton Partners in London.

TissueTech, parent of Amniox Medical and Bio-Tissue, appointed John Arnott to the board. Arnott is a former operating partner and executive chairman of multiple portfolio companies for Riverside Co.
