PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS

Permira hired Tom Eggemeier as a partner. He’d been president of Genesys.

Graycliff Partners named Gregory Olson an operating partner. Olson is former chief development officer at Ichor Systems.

Cimbria Capital named Richard Seline a senior adviser. Currently, he is a managing partner at Resiliency Capital Partners and executive director and senior adviser for AccelerateH2O.

Actis named Maureen E. O’Toole a managing director, leading the investor development group in the Americas. Previously, she was a managing director at Morgan Stanley in the investment management division. O’Toole succeeds Adiba Ighodaro, who takes the new role of head of strategic relationships and senior adviser.

Paine Schwartz Partners named Richard Shuler an operating director. Shuler had been a senior adviser at the firm. He currently is chairman of MS Biotec, a Paine Schwartz portfolio company.

HarbourVest Partners named Vinay Mendiratta a managing director. He previously was head of wealth management sales at Adams Street Partners.

Gauge Capital named Stan Dennis managing director, helping lead the healthcare investment strategy. Dennis is a former operating partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe. 

Highland Capital Management promoted Joe Sowin to co-CIO from head of global equity trading. As co-CIO he will continue to manage Highland’s trading operations.

MidOcean Partners, the middle-market PE firm, added Dennis Jenson and Dhruv Prasad to its executive board. Jenson had been an operating partner for North Castle Partners while Prasad was co-CEO of Townsquare Media.

Hidden Harbor Capital Partners named Adam Hanselman a vice president in its portfolio operations group. Hanselman had been a project leader at Boston Consulting Group.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice appointed Sandra E. Peterson an operating partner. Peterson is former group worldwide chairman of J&J.

Great Hill Partners named Derek Schoettle an operating partner. Schoettle is former CEO of ZoomInfo.

TA Associates hired Andrew Tay as an SVP in its Hong Kong office. Tay was previously a VP in Baring Private Equity Asia’s Singapore office.

ParkerGale Capital named Paul Stansik a principal, working with the leaders of the firm’s portfolio companies to improve their talent and performance management programs. Stansik previously worked in the leadership and talent practice at Bain & Co.

Dunas Capital appointed Juan Díaz-Laviada to the investment committee of Rainforest Dunas Iberia Fund I FCR. Díaz-Laviada was previously president and country head of Advent International Spain and international partner of the firm, as well as president of Spanish PE trade body Ascri. The fund is a PE fund of funds investing exclusively in Spain and Portugal-focused GPs.

Ara Partners Group named Jim Mahoney an operating partner and Johanna Schmidtke a principal. Mahoney was previously CEO of NovomerSurface Logix and Prolinx. Schmidtke had been a director at Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures.

Norwest Equity Partners named Tony Armand a partner. Armand had served as an operating partner for the firm since 2018.

Arable Capital Partners appointed Scott Hogan a vice president. Hogan previously held executive roles at Louis Dreyfus Co.

PORTFOLIO COMPANIES

Genesys, a provider of omnichannel customer experience and contact center solutions, appointed Tony Bates CEO. Bates, former CEO of Skype, succeeds Paul Segre, who continues as chairman. Genesys is backed by Hellman & Friedman and Permira Funds.

ABC Financial, a software and payment processing provider for health and fitness clubs, named Rachana Jain chief people officer. Jain’s background includes roles at Accenture and Emtec. ABC Financial is a portfolio company of Thoma Bravo.

Maine Pointe promoted Mark McTigue to EVP of private equity for North America. The Boston supply chain and operations consultant to PE firms also named Jamie Loder vice president, industry partner, for PE, based in the London office.

Interface Security Systems, a portfolio company of SunTx Capital Partners and Prudential Capital Group, named Brent Duncan chief revenue officer. He recently was senior vice president of sales and marketing at NTT America. Interface is the St. Louis managed security service provider.

Material Handling Systems, backed by Thomas H. Lee Partners, named Scott McReynolds CEO. He succeeds Co-Founder Tony Mouser, who stepped down as CEO but will continue managing special projects. MHS is the Louisville, Kentucky, provider of parcel sortation systems.

Northstar Aerospace: The Wynnchurch Capital portfolio company named Scott Burdick CEO. He succeeds Dave McConnaughey, who had been CEO since 2012 and will sit on the board.

Tooling Tech Group, a provider of engineered tools and assembly equipment, appointed Lee Childers CEO. Childers joined TTG as COO in early 2018. TTG is backed by GenNx 360.

Ansira Partners, the St. Louis marketing technology and services firm backed by Advent International, named Laurie MacLaren CEO. MacLaren succeeds Daina Middleton, who becomes Ansira’s vice chairwoman and an adviser to the board.

G/O Media, a provider of premium digital content sites including Gizmodo and the Onion, named Tom Callahan CFO and Jesse Knight CTO. Callahan is former CFO of BandLab Technologies while Knight was CTO/CIO of Vice Media. G/O Media is backed by Great Hill Partners.

CoreView, a provider of SaaS management platform solutions for Microsoft Office 365, named Michael A. Morrison CEO. He’d been president and CEO of Datawatch Corp. CoreView is backed by Insight Partners. 

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Neptune Financial, the lower-mid-market lender, hired Kevin Bogenreif as director of originations. Bogenreif previously was VP of corporate banking and PE sponsor lending at Texas Capital Bank.

Carl Marks Advisors, the investment bank providing financial and operational advisory services to middle-market companies, promoted Jeanine Krattiger to managing director.

Constellation Advisers, the investment management consultant, hired Frank Napolitani as global head of business development and marketing. He had been a director and national head of business development for the financial-services practice at EisnerAmper.

Accordion, the PE financial consulting and technology firm, named Atul Aggarwal president. Aggarwal had been a partner at Bain & Co.

Monroe Capital named Alex Patil to the originations team as managing director, West Coast region. Patil was previously a managing director at Medley Management.

Monument MicroCap Partners: The Indianapolis PE firm named Tim Hildebrand a vice president. Hildebrand previously was a senior associate at Hammond Kennedy Whitney.

Evercore ISI: Amit Daryanani joined as a senior managing director covering IT hardware, electronic manufacturing services and communications equipment. He had worked in research at RBC Capital Markets.

Longford Capital opened a Dallas office and named John E Garda to head it as a managing director. Garda had been managing partner of the Dallas office of law firm K&L Gates. Longford funds attorneys’ fees and other costs of legal claims in return for a share of settlements and awards.

Gramercy Funds Management named Mohamed A. El-Erian a part-time senior adviser. El-Erian is former CEO and co-CIO of PIMCO. He also was chairman of the U.S. government’s Global Development Council under President Barack Obama and served as a deputy director at the International Monetary Fund.

Goodwin: Timothy Clark joined the law firm’s private investment funds team as a partner in New York.

Evercore hired Andy Richard as a senior managing director for the investment-banking business. Richard joins from Credit Suisse, where he was a managing director and head of U.S. REITs.

Brown Gibbons Lang appointed Christoph Brandenberger and Manfred Steiner managing directors in its healthcare and life sciences practice. Brandenberger had been managing director for Healthios Capital Markets while Steiner’s background includes roles at Huron Healthcare.
