Osmosis hires partner

Joining a team of 12, Gerrit will be responsible for developing new opportunities as well as expanding the firm’s distribution network for existing fund-of-funds.

With over 22 years of investment banking experience, Gerrit has spent the past seven years as global head of equity sales at Russian investment bank Troika Dialog. Prior to Troika Dialog, he was a managing director with Devonshire Securities, an Asian boutique investment banking group.

Gerrit also worked at Kleinword Benson’s equity business in Asia as the firm’s first head of equity sales and has held senior sales positions at investment banks including Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan Securities.

Osmosis has spent the past few months on a senior management recruiting drive. Starting in April, Osmosis recruited Carl-Henrik Bengtsson, a former Goldman Sachs executive to take the role of partner in the firm’s investor relations team. Jim Totty followed in May and was made partner and senior investment manager. And in June, Paul Bramley became CFO.
