Palamon out fund raising

Palamon Capital Partners is in the market raising its second fund. No size or closing timetable have been confirmed, but it’s likely that it won’t be considerably in excess of the E440m fund the firm raised in 2000. This is because Michael Hoffman and Louis Elson, who left Warburg Pincus’ London operation to start Palamon Capital Partners in 1999 did so because they wanted to remain in the mid market, whereas their former firm was upping on its preferred deal size.
