Maven Venture Partners made it official this week and is now a father-and-daughter venture firm.
Jack Gill has joined the Menlo Park, Calif.-based firm to help it raise its inaugural fund, which is targeted at $150 million. Gill, the father of co-founding general partner Jennifer Gill Roberts, fills the gap left by co-founding partner Marc Friend who has left the firm. PE Week reported last month that Gill was likely to join his daughter’s firm. Still, Gill Roberts last week said she was unable to confirm the news. It became official this week and Gill now appears on the Maven website. He is the co-founder of Vanguard Ventures.
