• Steven Bottum has joined The Grosvenor Funds as a managing partner and head of the firm’s new San Francisco office. He was most recently a partner with Thomas Weisel Partners.

• John Chapman has been promoted to the position of partner with TM Techno Venture Management. He was previously a principal with the Munich-based firm.

• Bob Evans has been named chairman of Trigo Technologies Inc.‘s board of directors. He joins as managing partner of the Valent Group, and a special limited partner of both Accel Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners.

• Glenn Falacao and Bob ONeil have joined Bessemer Venture Partners as venture partners. Falacao was previously an executive vice president with Corvis Corp., while O’Neill was a vice president at Nortel Networks.

• Jeffrey Lombardi has joined NextGen Capital as a managing director. He had previously been with Deutsche Banc Alex.Brown, where he served as an investment advisor to early-stage tech companies in the mid-Atlantic region.

• Barry Maloney has joined Benchmark Capital as a partner based in the Silicon Valley-based firm’s London office. Maloney comes to Benchmark from Esat Digifone, where he was founder and chief executive officer.

• Dana Waldman has been appointed to the board of directors of MILCOM Technologies, an incubator and early-stage investor in the military technology and communications sectors. Waldman is CEO, president and founder of Centerpoint Broadband Technologies Inc.

• Michael Wand has joined Carlyle European Venture Partners as its head of software infrastructure investments. He was previously head of European research for Deutsche Bank Alex.Brown.
