Ivan Bernard-Brunel and Emma Heycock have both joined Crescendo Venture as principal and director of human resources, respectively. Both are in the Palo Alto, Calif.-based venture firm’s European portfolio development team, which works alongside the investment team in Europe and in the U.S. to support and provide resources to Crescendo’s young portfolio companies. Bernard-Brunel was most recently director of business development and M&A within the Optical Networking Group. Heycock joins Crescendo from the HR department at marchFIRST.

Dev Ittycheria has been named an entrepreneur-in-residence in Bessemer Venture Partners‘ Larchmont, N.Y., office. Prior to joining Bessemer, Ittycheria had been a vice president with Breakaway Solutions.

Robert Logan and Robert Vanech have both joined the New York office of Switzerland-based ETF Group Inc. Logan, who was previously a vice president with Whitney & Co., will serve as a vice president. Vanech, who was with ETF portfolio company Eureka Broadband Corp., joins as director of business development.

Larry Lynch has joined The Auda Group as a managing director, where he will be responsible for marketing the firm’s alternative asset investments. He was previously a senior vice president with Pilgrim Baxter & Associates.

Jon Melzer has been named a managing director with Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, where he will serve as head of the firm’s eastern M&A practice. Melzer previously served as a director in the M&A business development group of Credit Suisse First Boston.

David Secunda has joined SBVC has an entrepreneur-in-residence. He is the co-founder and chief executive of PlanetOutdoors.com.
