Thomas Anderman has joined Paine & Partners as a principal in the firm’s New York office. He previously was a vice president at BAML Capital Partners and, before that, worked at Freeman Spogli & Co.

Bank of America said that it will lay off approximately 30 employees in its private equity business. Ten of the employees, including strategic fund investment chief Jason Cipriani, will form a Charlotte office for Sterling Stamos. BoA corporate investments chief Travis Hain will take another 20 employees to form his own private equity firm.

Karl Beinkampen has joined Wilshire Associates as chief investment officer of Wilshire Private Markets. He previously was with Morgan Stanley as managing director of the Alternative Investment Partners group.

Michael Cuff has joined J.F. Lehman & Co. as managing director of operations. He previously was an executive in Honeywell’s aerospace division.

Aaron Davenport and Jim Marden have joined SK Capital Partners as managing directors. They previously were health care-focused partners at Arsenal Capital Partners.

Yuda Doron has joined Silver Lake Sumeru as an Israel-based senior advisor. He is a former Computer Associates executive who most recently served as an angel investor and consultant.

Steve Glick has stepped down as a principal with Lineage Capital, according to peHub, a sister Web site of Buyouts. He plans to join the middle-markets group of Sankaty Advisors.

Jason Glover has agreed to join Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as a partner in the firm’s London office, where he will form a UK funds practice. He currently is a partner with Clifford Chance.

Maurice Gordon has joined Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America as a senior manager of private equity investments. He previously served in a similar role with The Hartford Insurance Co.

Pat Haden is stepping down as a partner with private equity firm Riordan, Lewis & Haden in order to become athletic director at the University of Southern California. He will remain an investor in RHL funds and on the board of portfolio company Apothecary Shops.

Fotis Hasiotis has joined Lazard as co-head of European financial sponsors. He previously ran EMEA financial sponsors for BoA Merrill Lynch.

Jeremy Holland has joined The Riverside Co. as a director of origination in the Western region. He previously was a principal with Vintage Fund Management.

Paul Legvold has joined Korn/Ferry International as a senior client partner and head of the executive search firm’s asset management practice. He previously ran the North American asset management practice for Heidrick & Struggles.

Tom Newell has joined Greene Holcomb & Fisher as a managing director in charge of the firm’s Pacific Northwest investment banking efforts. He previously was president of the Shorewood Group.

Neill Occhiogrosso has joined Investor Growth Capital as a New York-based vice president. He had spent the past four years with Highland Capital Partners, most recently as a Boston-area principal.

Mark Oxley has joined Atlantic-Pacific Capital as a principal in the firm’s direct private placements group. He previously was with Lazard.

Simon Palley has agreed to join the board of Land Securities as a non-executive director. He is a former managing director with BC Partners.

James Rothschild has joined Monument Capital Group as a vice president and partner, working out of both Washington DC and the firm’s new London office. He previously was with Hargreave-Hale.

Roger Wood has joined Moelis & Co. as a senior advisor to power and infrastructure clients. He previously was with Rothschild as head of North American utilities and global co-head of utilities and infrastructure

Correction: Thompson Street Capital Partners acquired an undisclosed majority interest in Express Oil Change LLC. In the July 19 issue, the synopsis (in the Market Intelligence data feature under the recent transactions section) incorrectly reported that Thompson Street acquired an undisclosed minority stake in the provider of auto repair services.
