Ashok Aram has left Abraaj Capital, the biggest private equity firm in the Middle East, to return to Deutsche Bank as chief executive for the Middle East and North Africa. Aram left Deutsche Bank in July 2009 to take up a position as managing director of Abraaj. He will remain on the company’s board.

Marcello Bottoli joined Advent International’s operating partner program. He will advise the Boston, Mass.-based firm on global investment opportunities in the retail and consumer sectors, with a focus on branded consumer products, fashion and luxury goods. Bottoli was president and CEO of Samsonite until January 2009.

Carl Fazio has been named chief financial and operating officer of Antenna Audio, a portfolio holding of Wicks Group of Cos. LLC. Fazio has more than 25 years of experience in the information and media industries.

Rachael A. Felker has joined Clairview Capital Partners, a California-based real estate private equity firm, as an asset manager. Felker had previously worked for Buchanan Street Partners.

Gregory Gleason has joined Corigin Holdings, a real estate investment and private equity firm, as director of finance, the company announced. Gleason had previously been at Credit Suisse Private Equity.

Kayvan Heravi has been promoted to the post of to managing director from principal at LNK Partners, a private equity firm focused on the consumer/retail sector. Heravi joined the firm at its inception in 2005.

Hilkka-Maija Katajisto

will leave her position as CapMan Group’s head of HR and resign as a member of the CapMan board at the end of the year, according to the company. Katajisto joined the company in 2006 and joined the board in 2007. Niko Haavisto will act as a temporary replacement until her successor is found.

Eric Keen

has joined DW Healthcare Partners as a vice president. He formerly was a vice president at the Riverside Company.

Shruthi Reddy Kinkead has joined Sagent Advisors Inc. as a senior banker. Kinkead has worked on more than 70 health care-related transactions in M&A, public and private equity. She previously worked at the Global Healthcare Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Dr. Ge Li and Dr. Gordon Huang have been appointed to the advisory board of WI Harper Group, a Chinese private equity firm. Li is the founder, chairman and CEO of WuXi Pharmatech and Huang is an expert in green energy. WI Harper Group was founded in 1993.

LMS Capital plc has appointed Mark Sebba as non-executive director. Sebba is the CEO of NET-A-PORTER.com, a women’s fashion retailer. LMS Capital is a London-based venture capital and private equity firm.

Ajit Manocha has joined the board of SVTC Technologies LLC, a San Jose, Calif.-based commercialization service provider. Manocha was Spansion Inc.’s executive vice president of worldwide operations and a member of the executive management board. SVTC’s investors include Oak Hill Capital Partners and Tallwood Venture Capital.

Masato Marumo has joined Lazard Ltd of New York as a managing director, investment banking. Marumo will be based in Tokyo. He previously worked at Carlyle Group. Marumo will work closely with Yasu Hatakeyama, who is Lazard Freres KK’s president and chief executive.

James O’Brien, Jason Hawkins and Craig Warnke have joined Marsh, a New York-based insurance broker and risk adviser, as managing directors in its private equity and mergers and acquisitions practice. Jim Beatty and Machua Millett joined the firm as senior vice presidents.

Philip Renaud has joined the board of directors of Kane Biotech Inc., a Winnipeg, Manitoba-based biotechnology company. Renaud is managing director of Church Advisors, a European investment advisory firm involved in private financing.

Jonathan Russell, one of the top dealmakers at 3i Group plc, is leaving. His departure is part of a reorganization that will merge the firm’s buyout and growth capital divisions. Russell was head of buyouts and responsible for more than €5 billion ($6.5 billion) worth of funds. He worked for 3i for 24 years.

Garett Stoffels and Steven Tuch have joined Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. as co-heads of its Private Capital Group within the firm’s Investment Banking department. Stoffels had been managing director at Bear Stearns. Tuch was managing director at Deutsche Bank.

Weichou Su has joined StepStone Group LLC as managing director in the firm’s new Beijing, China office, which officially opened on Sept. 14. Su will focus on investment activities in China and throughout Asia. Su previously served as a managing director of Hina Group.
