Glenn Askew has been named as managing director of business development at Brazos Private Equity Partners, the firm announced. Askew will lead Brazos deal sourcing activities. Askew joined Brazos in 2004. Previously, he spent five years at Goldman Sachs where he worked on advisory and financing transactions in sectors including consumer products, business services, retail and general industrial.

Aaron Cohen and Sean Cunningham have been promoted to principal at the Chicago firm GTCR, the firm announced. Each was a vice president at GTCR.

Kirk Dizon has left the LP Hall Capital Partners. Dizon will be starting his own venture, persons with knowledge of the situation told peHub. Dizon joined Hall Capital in 2006 where he was a managing director and co-head of the private equity group. Before that, he was a partner at the law firm Cooley Godward.

Reid French has been named CEO at Applied Systems, a provider of insurance software and services, the company announced. French also joins the company’s board of directors. Applied Systems is backed by Bain Capital.

Douglas H. Gilbert has joined DFW Capital Partners as a general partner. He will be based in Washington, D.C. Gilbert was previously a managing director at MCG Capital Corp. Also, DeVer F. Warner has joined DFW Capital as an associate. He will be based in Teaneck, N.J.

Edward Grace has joined Angelo, Gordon & Co. as a senior adviser. Grace will help the firm source and evaluate new investments in the restaurant industry and will serve as a board member of the firm’s restaurant industry investments. Grace is the founder and past chairman, president and CEO of the Capital Grille & Bugaboo Creek Steak House chains.

Dietrich Hauptmeier has joined TA Associates as a senior vice president in the firm’s London office. He will focus on growth equity investments, recapitalizations and management-led buyouts in Germany and other European markets, the firm said. Hauptmeier joins from Palamon Capital Partners, where he was an associate principal.

Blythe Jack has joined TSG Consumer Partners as a principal. Jack will be headquartered in San Francisco and will focus mainly on originating new investment opportunities, enhancing the sourcing capabilities of the broader TSG team. She previously spent 10 years at Rosewood Capital and most recently was CEO of Cahootie, a distributor of specialty toys.

Ben Jenkins, a senior managing director and top Asia dealmaker at The Blackstone Group, is leaving the firm at the end of this year, Reuters reported. Jenkins is moving back to New York after four years in Asia.

Edmund Koh has joined UBS as chief executive officer of its wealth management business in Singapore, Reuters reported. He will replace Christine Ong in the position, and will start the new job early next year. Koh, a former regional head of consumer banking at DBS , has a two-decade experience in financial services and recently helped reorganize Taiwan’s Ta Chong Bank for Carlyle, UBS said.

China dealmaker Yi Luo has joined The Blackstone Group to be a senior managing director based in Shanghai and be part of a new team in the region working under Asia head Michael Chae, Reuters reported. Luo was previously a Shanghai-based managing director at rival Carlyle Group focused on Asian buyouts.

Tony Metzner is joining St. Louis-based venture capital and small business finance firm Advantage Capital Partners. Metzner has 15 years of experience in finance and risk management earned at several accounting, auditing and consulting firms, including Ernst & Young and Deloitte.

Thomas Mills has joined FocalPoint Partners, the Los Angeles-based investment bank, to lead the development of the firm’s Chicago office. He joins as a managing director, primarily focused on the debt capital markets and special situations.

Richard Quigley has joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management‘s alternative investments and manager selection group as a managing director. Quigley will head AIMS Advisory Solutions and be based in New York. Previously, Quigley was a partner and global head of portfolio advisory at Albourne Partners, an investment consultant.

has joined Aterian Investment Partners as a partner. Previously, he was a principal at Sun Capital Partners. New York-based Aterian Investment Partners is a private investment firm focused on small-to-middle market businesses.

Savio Tung returns to global investment firm Investcorp as CEO of North America. Tung returns to a full time role at Investcorp, where he was one of the founding partners and served from 1984 until 2009, from 1995 until 2000 as head of corporate investment, North America, and from 2005 to 2009 as head of technology investment.
