Wanching Ang has resigned as CEO of Allianz Private Equity Partners, where she also served as a managing director and head of the firm’s Munich office. Ang joined Allianz in 1999, after having previously been with Apax Partners.

Victor Blank has joined TPG as a senior advisor in the UK. Blank currently is chairman of Lloyds TSB Group, and is the former chairman of GUS PLC and Trinity Mirror.

BNY Mellon Asset Management has promoted Douglas Squasoni to the newly-created role of Director of Alternative Investment Strategies.

Beverly Cenname has joined CapitalSource as a business development officer in the firm’s Security Lending group. She previously was business liaison director at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Joe Conroy will become CEO of law firm Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, effective Jan. 1. He currently is a partner in the firm’s business department in its Reston, Va. Office. Stephen Neal, who has been the firm’s chairman and CEO for the past seven years, will remain as chairman.

Jesse Ding has been named CEO of EnTie Commercial Bank (TWSE: 2849), which is in the process of selling a 51 percent ownership stake to The Longreach Group. Ding previously served as president of Taipei Fubon Banklk.

Kevin Dunn has joined 3i Group as general counsel. He previously was a senior managing director with GE Commercial Finance, running its European leveraged financing business. Dunn succeeds Tony Brieley, who is retiring.

Ellen Gonda has agreed to join The Carlyle Group as director of communications for the Americas, effective Dec. 3. She previously was with PR firm Brunswick Group, where she focused on corporate and financial communications.

Krista Jones has joined Liquid Realty Partners as a fund controller. She previously was a financial analyst with Credit Suisse.

Steven Kluger has joined Aquiline Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on the financial services sector, as a senior advisor. He previously was president and CEO of GE Capital Markets Services.

Lake Capital has named Michael Latiner as head of business development. He joined the firm in 2000 as a founding member of its business development group.

Guy Lewin-Smith has agreed to join the London office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice. He previously was a partner with Linklaters, and focuses on M&A, equity capital market and corporate finance advisory matters.

Dennis McCrary has joined fund-of-funds manager Pantheon Ventures as a Chicago-based partner. He previously was a partner with Adams Street Partners, where he was head of the U.S. partnership team.

Mid Europa Partners has promoted three of its professionals to partner: Robert Knorr, Zbigniew Rekusz and Matthew Strassberg. Knorr joined the firm in 1999 and is based in London. Rekusz joined the firm’s Warsaw office in 2002, while Strassberg joined the London office in 2002.

Alan Muney has joined The Blackstone Group’s private equity team as an executive director who will oversee healthcare benefits at Blackstone portfolio companies. This is a new position. Muney previously was executive vice president and chief medical officer of Oxford Health Plans.

Permira named Damon Buffini, a co-founder and managing partner, in the new role of chairman as part of the group’s transformation from a British buyout group to a global private equity company. Tom Lister, who manages the firm’s New York office, and Kurt Bjorklund, who runs Nordic operations, will take over as co-managing partners.

Chris Perriello and Michael Hacker have joined the New York-based secondaries team of AlpInvest Partners as a principal and investment director, respectively. Perriello previously was with Paul Capital Partners, while Hacker worked in the secondaries group of UBS.

Boston Ventures has promoted both Louis Bertocci and Justin Harrison to partner. Bertocci joined Boston Ventures in 1996, while Harrison joined in 1999.

Mark Ronald has joined Veritas Capital Partners as a special advisor. Ronald is the former chairman and CEO of BAW Systems Inc., where he also served as COO and a member of the board of directors. He currently serves on the board of Veritas portfolio company DynCorp International Inc.

John Shettle has joined Lightyear Capital as a full-time senior advisor. He previously was president and CEO of insurance company The Schinnerer Group.

James Slipper has joined Gresham Private Equity as a partner in the firm’s London office, effective Dec. 3. Slipper currently is a director with Deloitte, where he is responsible for the Reading transaction services team.

Rosalyn Wilton has joined 3i Group as a senior advisor focused on the media sector. She currently serves as chairwoman of Ipreo LLC, the recent merger between Hemscott PLC and i-Deal.

Rick Wolfert has joined Aquiline Capital Partners as a senior advisor. He most recently served as vice chairman of commercial finance with CIT Group.
