Actis Capital has added three directors to its infrastructure team: Robert McGregor and Vivek Dixit in Singapore, and Sanjiv Aggarwal in Delhi.

Adam Black has joined Doughty Hanson & Co. to oversee sustainability matters within the firm. He also will advise portfolio companies on environmental, social and governance issues. He previously was an associate director in the Risk and Sustainability group of KPMG.

Amit Chandra has joined Bain Capital as a managing director and head of Indian operations. He is a former Merrill Lynch banker who most recently served as a managing director of India-focused PE fund New Silk Route.

Brian Clarkson has resigned as president and chief operating officer of Moody’s Investors Service, as the ratings agency is under fire for its generous treatment of mortgage-backed securities prior to the credit collapse.

Geoffrey Cockrell, Mark Kromkowski and Michael Lusk have joined McGuireWoods LLP as Chicago-based partners in the firm’s private equity practice. All three previously were with Wildman Harrold.

Graphite Capital has added three new investment managers: Kane Bayliss, formerly an associate director focused on the oil and gas sector with Terra Firma Capital Partners; Mark Hall, previously with Lyceum Capital as an associate partner focused on business services deals; and Omar Kayat, previously an assistant director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ financial institutions group. The UK-based firm also added Mudassir Khan as a financial analyst. He previously was with KPMG Corporate Finance.

O.G. Greene has joined Navigation Capital Partners as an operating partner. He has served as CEO of multiple companies, including Burroughs Corp., National Data Corp., GridNet International, Skylight Financial and Speer Communications.

Grant Haggard and Bill Kindorf have joined Madison Capital Funding as senior vice president and vice president, respectively. Haggard previously has worked at such firms as Antares Capital, Linsalata Capital Partners and CapitalSource. Kindorf was last at Cochran, Caronia & Co.

Franklin Harris has joined Lincoln International as a New York-based managing director. He previously was with Miller Buckfire & Co. as a managing director and head of financial sponsors.

Matthew Hawkins has joined Treadstone Partners as a senior director. He previously was with EFO Holdings.

Tanya Heath has joined the Paris office of RainMakers Private Equity, a secondary advisory firm. She will serve as a vice president, and previously worked with JWare Technologies.

John Hogan has joined Norwest Mezzanine Partners as a partner. He previously was with Piper Jaffray & Co., as a managing director and head of the firm’s financial sponsors group.

Mike Kingston has joined law firm Covington & Burling as head of its European corporate practice. He previously was with Herbert Smith.

LGV Capital, the private equity unit of Legal & General Group PLC, said that managing director Ivan Heywood will succeed Adrian Johnson as chief executive officer.

Ian McKenzie has joined GMT Communications Partners as a senior advisor. He is the former executive chairman of Invitel, a Hungarian fixed-line telecom provider that was once a GMT portfolio company. The firm also has hired Maria Trokoudes as a senior associate. She previously was with McKinsey & Co. GMT is a European private equity firm focused on the communications sector.

Andrew Paff has joined Headwaters MB as a managing director focused on IP media subsystem telecom technology. He is the former president and CEO of Cedar Point Communications.

Gretchen Perkins has joined Huron Capital Partners as vice president of business development. She previously served in a similar role for Long Point Capital.

Piper Jaffray Cos. has named Thomas Schnettler as president and chief operating officer. He previously had been CFO.

Kathi Rawnsley has joined Lowenstein Sandler as head of the law firm’s new Silicon Valley office. She previously was with Intel Capital.

Jean-Eudes Renier has joined Merrill Lynch as a managing director in the firm’s European multi-industries origination team. He previously was a managing director in Morgan Stanley’s basic materials group.

Kevin Reynolds is transitioning out of his role as UK country head at mid-market buyout firm Bridgepoint, according to Dow Jones. Reynolds plans to take a three-month sabbatical once Bridgepoint finishes raising €4.5 billion fourth fund later this month. He will then return as a transaction partner, while Guy Weldon will take over as U.K. country head.

Edward Rhyne has joined Fulbright& Jaworski LLP as a private equity-focused partner in the firm’s corporate office. He has previously was a partner with Haynes and Boone LLP.

Norman Pearlstine is leaving The Carlyle Group, where he has served as a senior advisor to the firm’s telecom and media practice since late 2006. He will join Bloomberg L.P. as chief content officer, a new position.

John Rutledge, chairman of mid-market PE firm Rutledge Capital, has joined the board of PCG Asset Management as an independent director. PCG AM is a private equity consultancy.

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP has elected Brad Karp the firm’s new chairman. He succeeds Alfred Youngwood, who will retire at year-end. Karp has been with Paul Weiss since 1985, and currently is co-chair of its litigation department.

Philip Sanderson has been named head of private equity at UK-based law firm Travers Smith. He has been a partner with Travers Smith since 2001, and succeeds group co-founder Charles Barter.

Jeffrey Sangalis, founder and managing partner of Capital Point Partners, has been named president of ACG Houston. He succeeds Jeffrey Henningsen, whose one-year term expires on June 1.

Matt Schumacher has been named a vice president with Boxwood Partners, a Richmond, Va.-based mid-market investment bank. He previously was an associate with Harris Williams & Co.

Amber Tencic has joined turnaround firm Drum Capital Management as director of finance. She previously was a senior vice president with Pequot Capital Management.

James Wakefield has joined private equity placement agent BerchWood Partners as a London-based senior advisor. He previously was a director with Bridgepoint Capital.

Hansen Yuan has joined the scientific advisory board of Healthpoint Capital. He is a professor emeritus in the department of orthopedic and neurological surgery at SUNY Health Science Center.
