Charles Allen, former chief executive officer of ITV, has joined Goldman Sachs Capital Partners as a senior adviser. He will focus on deals in the media sector, and join the board of Dutch television producer Endemol.

Thomas Amster, head of Goldman Sachs’ West Coast financial sponsors group, is leaving to join Morgan Stanley & Co. as a Los Angeles-based managing director, according to LBO Wire.

Beverly Berman has joined THL Partners as a director in the firm’s investor relations group. She previously oversaw North American IR for Advent International.

James Chambers has joined Buffalo,N.Y.-based Summer Street Capital Partners as an operating partner. He previously was co-founder of management advisory and investment firm Conundrum Partners. Before that, he was president of business services for Quest Diagnostics.

Bradley Critchell and Andy Nick have joined Cogent Partners as a New York-based director and Dallas-based associate, respectively. Britchell previously was an I-banker with Credit Suisse, while Nick had been with Citigroup Global Markets.

Steven Davidson has agreed to join Quadrangle Group as chief financial officer. He previously was a managing director at Mourant Ltd., a third-party fund administrator.

Anna Dayn has joined the London office of pension fund risk consultant Cardano, to focus on researching and selecting private equity managers for firm clients.

Theodore Deutz has joined HRJ Capital as a managing director of investor relations and business development. He previously was a principal with Fontaine Partners.

Elias Dokas has joined MidOcean Partners as a principal. He is a former managing director with Blackstone Group. MidOcean also announced that it has promoted David Basto to managing director and Barrett Gilmer to vice president.

Jessica Fink and Joseph Glynn have joined Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP as New York-based special counsels in the law firm’s financial restructuring department.

Richard Guay has been named president and CEO of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. He has been serving as interim CEO since May, and had spent the previous two years as the organization’s chief investment officer.

Graham Hallworth has joined UK-based Clearwater Corporate Finance as non-executive chairman. He is a former partner with London-based private equity firm Alchemy Partners.

David Hass has joined Bedford Capital as a partner, peHUB has learned. He previously was head of private equity for Aquilon. Bedford is a Toronto-based private equity firm focused on the lower middle-markets, and is about to begin raising its fourth fund.

David Heilbrunn has joined The Churchill Financial Group as senior managing director and head of corporate strategy and development. It is a new position. He previously was senior managing director and head of collateralized debt obligations for Bear Stearns.

Larry Henry has joined Hudson Clean Energy Partners as a managing director and head of investor relations. He previously was a managing director in Credit Suisse’s private fund group.

Simon Hipperson has joined KKR as a London-based member of the firm’s infrastructure investment team. He previously was president and CEO of Skanska Infrastructure Development.

Paul Ho has joined Hudson Clean Energy Partners as a principal, where he will oversee the firm’s biofuels and biomass practice. He previously was with Credit Suisse as a director in the alternative energies group.

KKR has hired Yoshiharu Fukuhara as a senior adviser in Japan. He currently is honorary chairman of luxury cosmetics company Shiseido Co., where he used to be a senior executive.

Gordon Liao has joined Baird Capital Partners as a vice president in the firm’s Manufactured Products group. He previously was a principal with Reliant Equity Investors.

Robert Lipp has agreed to become a senior partner with Brysam Global Partners, a private equity firm focused on consumer financial services in emerging markets. He previously was a director with JPMorgan Chase, where he will continue to serve as an advisor.

Neil McDaid has joined BDO Stoy Hayward as head of a new debt advisory practice. He previously was with Barclays, in charge of the bank’s UK mid-market corporate syndications group.

Olivier Meyohas has joined The Blackstone Group’s hedge fund-of-funds business as a managing director in charge of the firm’s London office. He also will lead the business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has spent the past 16 years with Goldman Sachs.

Jenny Ming has joined Advent International as a Boston-based venture partner, where she will focus on the apparel retail sector. She previously was president of Old Navy.

Tim Morris has joined Farmington Capital Partners, a financial advisory and merchant bank for the insurance industry, as a Charleston, S.C.-based managing partner.

Pantheon Ventures has added three investment professionals to its Hong Kong office: Alex Wilmerding, principal, who was previously with Citigroup Private Bank; Minjun Chung, associate, who was previously with McKinsey & Co.; and Leah Liu, analyst, who was previously with Lazard Freres.

George Pataki, former Governor of New York, has joined the executive board of MidOcean Partners, a middle-market buyout firm.

Edward Rimland has joined The Silverfern Group as a managing director. He previously was a senior managing director in the M&A group of Bear Stearns.

Lorenzo Russo and Daryl Cohen have joined UK-based secondaries firm Vision Capital as a partner and associate, respectively. Russo previously was with Change Capital, while Cohen was last with Silver Point Principal Financial Europe.

Brian Shortsleeve has joined General Catalyst Partners as a principal, with a focus on “leading recapitalizations, buyouts and growth equity investments in lower middle-market growth companies.” He previously was a principal with H.I.G. Capital.

Lisa Stavro has been named a principal with Cardinal Americas Fund, a $150 million fund focused on private equity and infrastructure opportunities. She previously was senior vice president of First Bank of Beverly Hills.

Bob Stefanowski has joined 3i Group as a managing partner and chairman of 3i North America. He previously was with General Electric, most recently as CEO of corporate finance.

Michael Teplitsky and Greg Gleason have joined Wynnchurch Capital as a senior associate and associate, respectively. Teplitsky recently received his MBA from the Kellogg School, and previously was an associate with Lime Rock Partners. Gleason previously was a financial analyst in the global industrials group of Houlihan Lokey.

Sean Tong has joined Providence Equity Partners as a Hong Kong-based managing director. He has spent the past eight years with General Atlantic and, before that, was with Morgan Stanley.

Joseph Wan and Richard Cheung have joined the Hong Kong office of Cinven as a partner and principal, respectively. Wan previously was with Boston Consulting Group, while Cheung was a partner with McKinsey & Co.

Kenneth Warren has joined Littlejohn & Co. as chief financial officer. He previously was senior VP of finance for Quadrangle Group. Former Littlejohn CFO Deborah Jorde will now focus on investor relations and fund marketing.

Daniel Waterhouse has joined Wellington Partners as a London-based venture partner. He previously was a partner with 3i Group and, before that, worked in Yahoo’s corporate development department.

Gene Wolfson has joined Catalyst Investors as a general partner. He previously was a managing director with Citigroup, in charge of the distressed equity trading group.

David Zwiener was named chief financial officer of Wachovia Corp. He previously was with The Carlyle Group as a managing director and co-head of the firm’s financial institutions group. Before that, he was CFO of insurer Hartford Financial Services Group.
