Ronan Agnew is leaving Credit Suisse, one year after moving to Hong Kong to run the firm’s Asian private equity banking group. No word yet on his future plans. He will be succeeded by Toby Groser and Ben Ngai.

John Brakey has joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. as a director in the firm’s Sydney, Australia office, according to LBO Wire. He previously led private equity fund-of-funds activities for Macquarie Group.

Jim Brady has joined Marlin Equity Partners as an operating partner, with a focus on the healthcare IT and services sector. He was founder and CEO of Payerpath (acquired by Misys Healthcare Systems in 2006), and later served on the board of Misys Healthcare Systems and the operating board of parent company Misys PLC.

Réal Desrochers has resigned as head of alternative investments for the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS).

Suzanne Donohoe has joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. as a managing director and global head of the firm’s client and partner group. She previously was head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management International.

Lewis Eisenberg has joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. as a senior advisor. He is the co-founder and co-chairman of investment management company Granite Capital International.

Roger Hoit has joined Moelis & Co., as a managing director. He previously was a managing directors in Morgan Stanley’s global financial sponsors group.

Julian Horn-Smith, former deputy CEO of Vodafone, has joined CVC Capital Partners as a senior advisor.

Shonaid Jemmet-Page has been named chief operating officer of CDC Group, a United Kingdom government-backed fund-of-funds for private equity funds in emerging markets. She previously was senior VP of finance and information for Unilever.

Klaus Maurer has joined Silverfleet Capital, after having been an analyst in the Frankfurt office of Terra Firma Capital Partners.

Morgan Stanley has fired Garth Peterson, the head of its China real estate investment group, for suspected violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The firm also has put its global head of real estate investing on administrative leave.

Neal Moszkowski, co-CEO of TowerBrook Capital Partners, has stepped down from the board of directors at JetBLue Airways Corp. (Nasdaq: JBLU). He originally joined the board ten years ago, to represent JetBlue investor Soros Private Equity.

Northern Trust has named James MacDonald as chief investment strategist. He previously was director of equity research.

Pantheon Ventures has promoted Brian Buenneke from principal to partner. He is based in the firm’s San Francisco office, and focuses on primary fund investments. Before joining Pantheon in 2004, Buenneke worked at HarbourVest Partners, Duke Street Capital and Paul Capital Partners.

Steven Rattner has stepped down as managing principal of Quadrangle Group, in order to become Counselor to Treasury Secretary Geithner. Among his duties will be to lead the team advising Geithner and Larry Summers on the automobile sector. In related news, Quadrangle has named Michael Huber and Joshua Steiner as co-presidents of the firm.

Rod Rivera has joined Dresner Partners as a senior managing director of healthcare. He previously was a managing director and co-head of healthcare services for Jefferies & Co.

Jacques Rossignol and Xavier Payet have joined French buyout firm 21 Centrale Partners as a partner and investment manager, respectively. Rossignol previously was with Finama Private Equity/Acto capital, while Payet worked in the French Treasury Department, as a manager of state holdings in energy companies.

Brian Ruder and Bruce Chizen have joined Permira as a partner and senior advisor, respectively. Ruder previously was with Francisco Partners, while Chizen is the former CEO of Adobe Systems. In related news, Permira announced that Richard Sanders will relocate from London to Menlo Park, in order to lead the firm’s tech investing team.

Henry Silverman has joined Apollo Management as chief operating officer. Silverman is the onetime head of Blackstone Group, who most recently ran Cendant Corp.

Kevin Wang has left NPEA Capital, an Asia-focused private equity group owned by French bank Natixis. Wang founded NPEA Capital back in 1999, and served as its lead partner.

has joined Morgan Creek Capital Management as a vice president. He previously was with the Lehman Brothers fund-of-funds team.
