Peter cCaudy

A funeral service for Peter Claudy of M/C Venture Partners was held last week.

Claudy passed away May 12, after a long bout with cancer. A native of Greenwich, Conn., he received a bachelor’s in history from Yale College in 1983 and graduated as a George F. Baker Scholar with an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1991. He joined M/C Partners that same year. His investments were in managed services, and wireless tower industries, among other sectors. His board seats included Florida Digital Network, MCC ICG Holdings (which was recently sold to Level 3 Communications), Mpower Holding Corp. and New Global Telecom. Past investments include Ovation Communications (which sold to McLeod USA), Telecorp PCS (sold to AT&T Wireless) and Triad Cellular (sold to Western Wireless). Claudy was also president of the New England Venture Capital Association.

He is survived by his wife and two young children.
