Aberdeen-headquartered Ashtead Technology, a portfolio company of UK private equity firm Phoenix Equity Partners has recruited Allan Pirie to its board as CFO.
Pirie has extensive experience working in private equity-backed businesses as well as other financial and commercial transactions.
He joins Ashtead from Triton Group where he also held the position of CFO. During his tenure at Triton he was involved in the development of the company’s portfolio of subsea remote intervention products and services.
Ashtead Technology was acquired by Phoenix Equity Partners in June 2008 in a £95.6m management buyout. The technology company specialises in rental equipment for the offshore oil and gas sector and the environmental monitoring and testing industry.
