Private equity advisor Platina Partners has secured £39m of financing for the Pates Hill and Milton Keynes wind farms.
The financing is said to be one of the only onshore wind financings in the UK this year.
Pates is nearly completed, with turbines currently being erected, while Milton Keynes is yet to be constructed. Both projects will consist of seven 2MW turbines which will have a 28MW generation capacity once operational.
Following these acquisitions Platina will have completed investing from Mistal Wind farms, its UK and France focussed wind funds which currently have 69MW of wind projects in operation and construction across the UK.
Partner at Platina, Alexandre Labouret said: “The UK onshore market has faced some real challenges these past 12 months but we have again demonstrated the ability to secure financing and complete projects in what remains a tough environment.
BNP Paribas Fortis and NIBC provided the debt in a 50:50 split.
