DentalPlans.com, an online provider of discount dental plans, has appointed Danielle Powers as the company’s general counsel. DentalPlans.com is owned by private equity shop The Riverside Company. The company last week named Robert Solarana chief financial officer.
Financial services company Knight Capital Group Inc. said it had appointed three new board members, including the chief executive officer of TD Ameritrade Holding Corp., weeks after receiving a $400 million investment from a group of firms to keep it afloat. Fred Tomczyk, the CEO of TD Ameritrade, joined Knight’s board, Knight said. Martin Brand, a managing director at Blackstone Group LP, and Matthew Nimetz, advisory director at General Atlantic LLC, also joined Knight’s board.
