Aptuit, a portfolio company of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, said that Dr. Maurizio Denaro has assumed responsibilities as General Manager of the Aptuit Center for Discovery & Development in Verona, Italy. Aptuit is a pharmaceutical services company.

Aqua Pharmaceuticals, a portfolio company of RoundTable Healthcare Partners, has named Brett Fair as vice president of corporate development. Prior to joining Aqua, Fair served as global commercial lead at Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company. Based in West Chester, Penn., Aqua Pharmaceuticals is a specialty pharmaceuticals company focused on dermatology products.

CC Media Holdings announced that Richard Bressler will become president and chief financial officer of CC Media Holdings and Clear Channel Communications. Bressler will also become CFO of Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, reporting to Robert Pittman, chairman and CEO. Bressler has served as CFO of Time Warner and Viacom and managing director at Thomas H. Lee Partners. CC Media Holdings, the parent company of Clear Channel Communications, is a portfolio company of Thomas H. Lee Partners.

Evogene Ltd has named Ziv Kop to its board of directors. Kop is the founder and CEO of Go Capital, a private equity fund. He is also the former managing partner at Glenrock Israel, a private equity firm. Based in Rehovot, Israel, Evogene is a provider of plant genomics.

Enhanced Equity Funds, a healthcare services private equity firm, has appointed Bryan Gibson to lead FirstMed EMS as its chief executive officer. FirstMed, headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina, is a provider of non-emergency and emergency medical transportation services.

Genesis Biopharma has named Sanford J. Hillsberg and Dr. Jay Venkatesan to its board of directors. Also, Paul Kessler and David Voyticky have resigned as directors. Hillsberg was previously the chairman of the executive committee of Medco Research. Venkatesan is the founder, portfolio manager and managing director of Ayer Capital Management, a global healthcare equity fund. Based in Los Angeles, Genesis Biopharma is focused on developing treatments for cancer.

Geomega Resources Inc has named Paul-Henri Couture to its board of directors. Couture is president of Minvest Capital, a management and investment consulting services company, and was previously with private equity firm The Sentient Group and with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Based in Montreal, Geomega Resources is a mineral exploration and development company.

Ibex Outdoor Clothing, a portfolio company of North Castle Partners, has named Ted Manning as the company’s new CEO. Prior to joining Ibex, Manning worked at Eastern Mountain Sports, where he most recently served as executive vice president. Headquartered in White River Junction, Vermont, Ibex is a provider of wool apparel and accessories.

Johnny Rockets, which is backed by Sun Capital Partners, has appointed Gary Campanaro as its chief financial officer. Campanaro served in the same role for El Pollo Loco and Claim Jumper.

LHP Hospital Group, which is backed by CCMP Capital Advisors, has named Mark Miller as executive vice president and CFO. In his new role, Miller will lead LHP’s corporate finance unit. Miller replaces William J. Hibbitt, who is retiring. Headquartered in Plano, Texas, LHP Hospital Group is a provider of resources to not-for-profit hospitals and health systems.

Planet Fitness, a portfolio company of TSG Consumer Partners, has made several appointments to its leadership ranks. Dorvin Lively has become the company’s CFO while Richard Moore is now chief administrative officer, in addition to being executive vice president and general counsel. Also, Bonnie Monahan is corporate treasurer while Anna Arico has become corporate controller. Planet Fitness is a national health club franchise in the United States.

Rita’s Italian Ice, a portfolio company of Falconhead Capital, has named Michael Lorelli as executive chairman of the board. Lorelli, an operating partner at Falconhead Capital, has been an outside director since the company’s acquisition by Falconhead. In addition to his new role, Lorelli is interim CEO and is currently conducting a search for the company’s new president since the departure of Jonathan Fornaci. Headquartered in Trevose, Pennsylvania, Rita’s Italian Ice is an Italian ice franchise.

SevOne has named Jack Sweeney its CEO, effective immediately. Sweeney most recently served as a managing director for Bain Capital Ventures. Wilmington, Delaware-based SevOne, a Bain Capital Ventures portfolio company, provides IT performance management software.

Sithe Global Power announced that Bruce J. Wrobel, its chairman and CEO, is retiring. Martin B. Rosenberg, Sithe Global’s co-founder and president, will succeed Wrobel as CEO. Brian H. Kubeck, chief commercial officer and a senior developer at the company, will serve as president. New York-based Sithe Global, a power development company, is backed by The Blackstone Group.

The chairman of Spirit Airlines Inc plans to resign in August as funds affiliated with private equity firm Indigo Partners LLC divest their stake in the company, Reuters reported. William A. Franke, chairman of the board of Spirit Airlines, plans to resign at the company’s next board meeting, scheduled for Aug. 7. John R. Wilson, a director, also plans to resign at that time, Reuters wrote.

Strateco Resources Inc, a portfolio company of The Sentient Group, said that it has named Charles Riopel as a director of the company, filling one vacant seat on its board of directors. Riopel joined Sentient in 2012 from the Société générale de financement du Québec. Based in Boucherville, Québec, Strateco Resources is a uranium exploration company. The Sentient Group, which has offices in Australia, Canada and Germany, is a private equity firm that focuses on the global resources sector.

Total Safety, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company, has named Troy W. Thacker as its president and chief executive officer. Thacker succeeds David E. Fanta, who will retire. Fanta will also transition to the role of special adviser to the CEO. Thacker previously served as president and CEO of R360 Environmental Solutions. Total Safety provides integrated safety and compliance services and the products.

True Religion Apparel, a portfolio company of TowerBrook Capital Partners, has named David Conn as CEO. Prior to joining True Religion, Conn served as president of VF Retail Licensed Brands. Lynne Koplin, who acted as interim CEO before Conn’s appointment, is now chief marketing officer while Eric Bauer has been hired as the company’s CFO and COO. True Religion Apparel is a denim brand.
