AssuredPartners, a portfolio company of Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR, has named Dean Curtis chief financial officer. Most recently, Curtis served as chief accounting officer of MPS Group Inc. AssuredPartners, which acquires and invests in property and casualty and employee benefits brokerage businesses across the country, is based in Lake Mary, Fla.

Ilan Kaufthal was named to Blyth Inc.’s board of directors. Kaufthal is a senior adviser at Irving Place Capital. Greenwich, Conn.-based Blyth designs and markets candles and accessories for the home.

Press Ganey Associates Inc. has named Patrick Ryan chief executive. The company, a provider of health care performance improvement technology, is backed by investors including Vestar Capital Partners. Ryan was previously CEO at The Broadlane Group, a provider of strategic supply chain and revenue cycle management software.

Wilton, Conn.-based Sun Products Corp. has named Lawrence Benjamin to its board. Benjamin is currently a senior adviser at New Mountain Capital and a managing director of Capwell Partners. He is also chairman of SymphonyIRI, and serves as a member of the boards of Liz Claiborne Inc., Food Marketing Institute Foundation and Lake Forest Academy. Sun Products is a maker of fabric and household care products.
