AlpInvest Partners is expanding its Hong Kong office with a dedicated secondary investments team. The secondaries team in Asia will be helmed by Neal Costello, who recently relocated from the firm’s New York office. He will be joined by Nicole Ying Su, who moved from the AlpInvest secondary investments team in Amsterdam.

Altius Associates, a global private equity advisory and funds of funds firm, has appointed Doug Moore to lead its U.S. investor relations team. Moore will be based in the Richmond office, joining the global IR team headed by Eric Warner.

Black Diamond Capital Management, an alternative asset management firm with more than $11 billion in assets under management, has appointed Jean Fleischhacker as senior managing director, business development. Fleischhacker will lead the structuring and marketing for CLOs, other structured products and mezzanine debt.

The Blackstone Group said it has expanded its Blackstone Advisory Partner network and named Jan Weidner a senior managing director. He will be based in Frankfurt and will be responsible for the German speaking franchise for Blackstone Advisory Partners. Most recently, Weidner was a managing director and member of Leonardo & Co.’s European operating committee.

Eric Wenick has joined glendonTodd Capital, a Dallas buyout firm, as a partner. He will focus on technology-enabled business services investments. Wenick was previously an MD at MHT Partners, which he co-founded in 2001.

The Dallas-area private equity firm Insight Equity Holdings has hired four new associates: Neal JainGarrett GreerLuke Bateman, and Fraser Desmond. Jain was previously an investment banking analyst at Lazard Frères. Greer last focused on mid-market transactions at American Capital. Desmond was a member of the restructuring and special situations group at Macquarie Capital. And Bateman was previously an associate with Lone Star Investment Advisors.

Lightyear Capital, a firm focused on financial services, has appointed Jerry W. Miller as senior adviser on behalf of its affiliated funds. Miller was former president and CEO of Van Kampen Investments.

Dallas-based Teakwood Capital has appointed Vinse Davidson as managing director and chief financial officer. He has more than 25 years of business experience, with significant roles in the financial and operational aspects of venture capital, real estate, computer systems management, and infrastructure construction.
