Bain Capital said it has hired Gaby Abdelnour, former Asia-Pacific CEO at JPMorgan, as a senior adviser, Reuters reported. Abdelnour headed JPMorgan’s Asia-Pacific operations since July 2006.

Michael A. Miles Jr. is joining Berkshire Partners, the Boston buyout firm, as an advisory director. Miles joins Berkshire from retailer Staples, where he served as president since 2006 and COO since 2003.

Robert Kauffman has retired from Fortress Investment Group, which he co-founded in 1998. He most recently served as principal and as a director.

Linden Capital Partners, a Chicago-based buyout firm focused exclusively on health care, has named Bill Rhodes as an operating partner. Rhodes joins Linden from Becton, Dickinson and Co. and will work with Linden’s investment team in the diagnostics and life science tools sectors.

Moscow-based UFG Private Equity is adding Arthur Akopyan as a partner. Akopyan joins from NGI venture capital. His experience is largely based in tech executive roles in Russia.
