American Realty Capital, an investment advisory firm, has added seven people to its team over the past month. They are: Doug Lyons, James Fisher, Joseph Taylor, Carol Loundon, Jonathan Stein, Marc Tolchin and Daniel Schapiro.

James Yu, a managing director in Morgan Stanley’s European leveraged finance and acquisition finance team, has left the U.S. bank to join Swedish private equity firm EQT, sources told Reuters. Yu left this month, the sources said. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2009, Yu worked at JPMorgan for more than 15 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Foundation Medical Partners has appointed Ted Laufik as a partner and CFO. Laufik joins Foundation’s team to manage investments in the connected health and health care IT sectors. Most recently, he served as partner and CFO at venture capital and private equity firm Morgenthaler.

Freeman Spogli & Co. said that Greg Bettinelli has become an affiliated executive of the firm. Bettinelli will help facilitate investments in the e-commerce sector for Freeman Spogli and work with existing portfolio companies to enhance their online businesses.

Michael Cleary has joined Tullis Health Investors as director of investor relations and marketing. Previously he worked as a managing director with Equus Financial Consultants & Crossbay Capital Partners. Tullis Health is a private equity and venture capital fund manager focused on investments in biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and medical services.
