Advanced Capital has appointed Joseph DeTrani as a senior adviser. DeTrani is president of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance and a professor at Missouri State University. Advanced Capital is an European fund-of-funds specialist.

Bregal Partners announced a partnership with Michael Magerman to invest in enthusiast consumer brands and committed $100 million to future transactions. Magerman has joined Bregal as a senior adviser. Magerman is the former CEO of Odyssey Sports, Quickie Manufacturing, Bravo Sports, Tommy Armour Golf and Marc Scot Apparel.

Current Capital has named Salvatore D. Fazzolari and Mary Jane Raymond to its advisory board. Fazzolari is the former chairman, president and CEO of Harsco Corp, an industrial company serving infrastructure industries, while Raymond is the chief financial officer of II-VI Inc, a maker of opto-electronic components and other engineered products. Current Capital, of New York, focuses on mid-market and smaller companies in the industrial and services industries.

FF&P Private Equity has appointed Kenny Miller to the newly created role of finance director. Miller joins FF&P Private Equity from Hutton Collins Capital Partners, where he was financial controller.

Genstar Capital has named Gretchen L. Robinson to the new position of vice president of investor relations. Robinson previously worked at Capital Dynamics, where she most recently served as vice president in investment management.

Asif Naseem has joined Mason Wells as an executive operating partner. Naseem most recently served as vice president, communications global business unit at Oracle Corp.

Investment platform Preston Hollow Capital has hired Nga Nguyen as director of transaction structuring and John Dinan as general counsel. Both were previously employed by ORIX USA.

Pritzker Group Private Capital has hired Bill Denton, chairman of Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Co, as a senior adviser and Chris Trick, formerly of KRG Capital Partners, as vice president. Denton, former president and chief executive officer of Fiskars Brands, will work with the firm’s manufactured products operations team.
