3i Group Plc, a London-based private equity and venture capital company, said it appointed Caroline Banszky as a non-executive director. Banszky is managing director of the British investment trust the Law Debenture Corp Plc.

Actis, a private equity firm focused on emerging markets, has appointed Shami Nissan as a director in the responsible investment team. Nissan, based in the London office, was most recently a member of PwC’s sustainability and climate change team.

Aurora Capital Group has appointed Sean Ozbolt as a partner of Aurora Resurgence. Ozbolt has 17 years of private equity and credit investment experience. He is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Black Diamond Capital Management has appointed Jerome Shapiro as a managing director and structured product portfolio manager. Shapiro was most recently a senior vice president at One William Street, an alternative investment firm, managing an asset-backed portfolio across multiple commercial and consumer sectors. The firm also named Samuel Farahnak as a director in its private equity business. Previously, Farahnak worked at Platinum Equity, where he served as a vice president.

Madison International Realty, a real estate private equity firm, has hired Michael Chen as managing director overseeing global equity capital markets activities. Chen joins the firm from Paramount Group Inc, where he worked as a vice president and co-head of capital markets. Chen was jointly responsible for establishing Paramount’s capital markets group. Chen previously worked as executive director of the real estate and lodging investment banking group at JPMorgan.

Madison Realty Capital has hired Dan Cobleigh as managing director of design and development. Cobleigh previously worked for three years at Macklowe Properties as director of development.

Napier Park has named Dan Kittredge as a managing director for the firm’s private equity group Napier Park Financial Partners. Previously, Kittredge worked at Security Benefit Corp, a Guggenheim Partners affiliate, where he was vice president of investments.

Paladin Capital Group has named Jeremy Bash to its strategic advisory group. The founder of Beacon Global Strategies, Bash was formerly the chief of staff at the Department of Defense and the CIA. He was a senior adviser to Leon Panetta in both roles.

Richmond, Virginia-based alternative investment firm Private Advisors has added Zac McCarroll and Richard Wiltshire as managing directors. Most recently, McCarroll worked for the University of Texas Investment Management Company while Wiltshire was a a senior investment officer for the Virginia Retirement System.

Rigby Group has appointed investment banker Edouard Carlone as its new head of M&A. Carlone joins the group from UBS, where he specialized in M&A and corporate development for the past 14 years.

Riverstone Holdings has formed a team of energy-focused leveraged finance professionals to lead the firm’s expansion into credit and capital markets activities. The team includes Christopher Abbate, former managing director and head of energy leveraged finance at Citigroup; Jamie Brodsky and Daniel Flannery, who both join Riverstone from Nomura Securities International. All three also worked together on the energy leveraged finance team at UBS.

Vortus Investments Advisors, an energy private equity firm in Fort Worth, Texas, has hired Frank Lamsens as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer and Porter Pursley as a senior associate on the investment team. Lamsens joins Vortus from TPG Capital, where he worked most recently as controller of new business platforms. Pursley previously worked as a senior research associate at Raymond James & Associates.

Warburg Pincus LLC said it has appointed Michael Walsh, the former head of a Visa Inc payment management unit, as an adviser in its technology, media and telecommunications investment team.

Z Capital has hired Timothy Clayton as managing director and operating partner. Previously, Clayton worked at specialty retailer Tile Shop Holdings, where he served as a chief financial officer. He is also a former vice president and CFO of Sajan, a provider of language translation services.
