3i Group and MCH Private Equity have sold Spanish industrial door manufacturer Grupo Combursa to Sweden-based Cardo for e34.11 million.

3i Group has agreed to sell German generic drug company Betapharm GmbH to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (NYSE: RDY) for e480 million in cash. The deal will be funded using a combination of Dr. Reddy’s internal cash reserves and committed credit facilities.

3i Group has sold its 47% stake in Norway-based water treatment technology company Epcon Offshore AS to M-I Swaco of Houston, Texas for around $13.4 million.

Advent International has sold Argentina-based generic drug company Fada Pharma SA to Chile-based Laboratorios Polygon for an undisclosed amount.

Aetna Inc. (NYSE: AET) has agreed to acquire the disability insurance business of Broadspire Services Inc., a Plantation, Fla.based provider of disability and casualty claim management services. The deal is valued at approximately $160 million in cash, and is expected to close in the second quarter. Broadspire is a portfolio company of Platinum Equity.

ANSYS Inc. (Nasdaq: ANSS) has agreed to acquire Aavid Thermal Technologies Inc., a Concord, N.H.based developer of computational fluid dynamics software and thermal management solutions for electronics. The transaction is valued at approximately $565 million, includingsix million shares of Ansys common stock and around $300 million in cash. Prior to the closing of the transaction, the Company’s thermal management solutions business (Aavid Thermalloy) will be spun-off to the company’s stockholders, including Willis Stein & Partners, and will operate as an independent company.

Centre Partners has sold its 23.45% equity interest in American Seafoods Corp. to company management and to the company’s Alaskan business partner Coastal Villages Region Fund. The deal was valued at $81.75 million. American Seafoods is a Seattle-based provider of seafood processing services. Centre Partners led a January 2000 buyout of the company.

DJ Orthopedics Inc. (NYSE: DJO) has agreed to acquire Aircast Inc., a Summit, N.J.-based orthopedic device maker, from Tailwind Capital. The deal is valued at approximately $290 million in cash.

Electra Partners Europe has agreed to sell Gardiner Groupe Europe to Honeywell (NYSE: HON). Gardiner Groupe is a Paris, France-based distributor of CCTV systems, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, access control, public address and integrated systems. It had 2005 revenue of $260 million.

Fox Paine & Co. has sold Advanta Netherlands Holdings BV to United Phosphorous Ltd. of India. Advanta is a Dutch provider of seeds and seed technologies to the global market, and was acquired by Fox Paine in 2004.

Legal & General Ventures reportedly has retained NM Rothschild to advise on strategic options for portfolio company Jeyes Group Ltd., a U.K.-based provider of private-label cleaning products. A sale could be valued at up to GBP150 million.

Milestone Capital has sold its majority stake in Florida Tile Industries for $22.5 million to Italy-based Panariagroup Industrie Ceramiche SpA.

Spark Networks PLC, a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based provider of online personals services like JDate.com and AmericanSingles.com, has raised around $237 million via an IPO of American depository shares. It will trade on the AMEX under ticker symbol LOV, and also will remain trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, which it joined in 2000. Company shareholders include Great Hill Partners and Tiger Global Management.
