BDO, the accounting and consulting organization, has named Todd Kinney relationship director for the firm’s national private equity practice. In the role, Kinny, who joined BDO in 2003, will be responsible for implementing the firm’s private equity industry growth strategy by sourcing new PE clients and opportunities.

Broder Bros Co., a distributor of imprintable apparel, has named Norman Hullinger as chief executive. Hullinger has been with the company for a decade, and was most recently chief operating officer. The company is backed by Littlejohn & Co.

Josh Van Manen has been promoted to lead Fifth Third Bank’s sponsor leveraged finance group as a managing director, the bank announced. The group focuses on companies with EBITDA of $10 million to $75 million.

First Reserve Corp. has promoted five senior investment team members within its infrastructure and buyout funds in Greenwich, Houston and London, the firm announced. John Barry, Alex Williams and Neil Wizel were promoted to managing director. Adi Blum and Mark Saxe were promoted to director.

General Atlantic has promoted Nick Nash, Eduardo Samara and Graves Tompkins to principal. Nash first joined the firm in 2002 and then rejoined the firm after completing his MBA in 2007. Samara joined General Atlantic in 2010 and focuses on investments in a variety of industries in Latin America. Prior to joining GA in 2007, Tompkins worked at McKinsey & Co. and in the merchant banking division at Goldman Sachs & Co.
