Quester exits Sterix

Quester has sold its interest in Sterix to Ispen. Quester invested £1m in April 2001, although Sterix was first formed in 1998 when it was spun out of Imperial College, London and the University of Bath.

Sterix was originally formed to research new generation steroid-related therapeutics focusing on oncology and endocrinology.

Sterix represents the first exit from Quester’s university portfolio, although the firm subsequently followed this with the successful IPO of OHM, a provider of remote electromagnetic sensing services designed to detect the presence of offshore oil and gas, that listed on the London Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation of £50m in March.
