RBPE team moves to RLPE

Royal London Private Equity (RLPE) has expanded its mid-market private equity team with three Royal Bank Private Equity professionals. John Dillon has joined the group as managing director with Richard Caston and Duncan Johnson joining as directors based in London. The team has moved from Royal Bank Private Equity (RBPE) and joins David MacLellan, chief executive of RLPE and Peter Linthwaite.

John Dillon has spent 14 years in private equity, and was formerly head of English regions for RBPE. He also worked as a director for Lloyds TSB Development Capital for ten years.

Richard Caston moves from RBPE where he was an investment director and head of the support services team. He was previously a director at Legal & General Ventures and, prior to venture capital, he was a corporate financier at Samuel Montagu and an accountant at Touche Ross in London.

Duncan Johnson moves from RBPE where he was also an investment director and headed the financial services team. Prior to this he was a corporate financier with Close Brothers and an accountant with Cork Gully/Coopers & Lybrand specialising in insolvency.
