RCP appoints partner

Private equity firm Risk Capital Partners (RCP) has appointed Michael Simmonds as a senior investment partner.

As part of his new role he will focus on sourcing and managing investment opportunities for the firm’s new £75m RCP II fund.

Simmonds joins RCP from Bowmark Capital Partners where he has been a partner for the past four years. He has over 16 years of experience working with mid-market companies, initially as a corporate finance adviser at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He began his private equity career at LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group.

RCP invests in growth businesses and its current portfolio consists of investments in consumer, retail, leisure and support services businesses.
