John Flannery has succeeded Joe Parsons as president of GE Equity, the private equity arm of the General Electric Co. Parsons has been promoted to president of the corporation’s North America equity holdings at GE Capital Real Estate. Flannery joined New York-based GE Capital in 1987 as an associate and was most recently managing director for GE Equity’s media, aviation, energy, industrial, financial and health-care investment groups.

Katy Wilson has joined Partech International‘s San Francisco team as vice president of international business development. Most recently she was vice president of customer services at UUNet.

Amy Weisman has joined Westport, Conn.-based Sterling Investment Partners as vice president. Most recently she was with Colt Capital Group.

Howard Zeprun has joined Trident Capital of Palo Alto, Calif., as chief administrative officer and general counsel. He will manage the firm’s legal affairs, investment processes and investor relations. Most recently, he was a corporate and securities partner with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

Paul Jan has signed on at Sterling Venture Partners as an associate. In that role, he will help identify new investments in telecommunications, software, IT services, medical device technology and health-care services. Previously, Jan served as an associated at ABN AMRO Private Equity and as an analyst for Lehman Brothers‘ global technology investment group.

Richard Lichter has been named managing director and head of secondary private equity at The Auda Group of New York. He has been a managing director at Lexington Partners and a director at Landmark Partners.
