Dave Power, partner of Fidelity, has joined the board. The company raised $5M in a Series A infusion in July 2004. The company was expected to announce the funding this week. See story, page 1.
Klir Technologies Seattle $8.7M/A Ignition Venture Partners (co-led), MK Capital (co-led). Provides network performance management software and services. Richard Fade, a venture partner of Ignition, and Mark Terbeek, a partner with MK Capital, will join the board.

Tachyon Networks Inc. Vienna, Va. $7M/E West River Capital (led), BV-Cornerstone Ventures, CEA Capital Partners. Provides high-speed, satellite-based Internet access services. The company has raised more than $90M since its 1997 inception, including a $13M infusion in late 2000 at a PMV of $25M.


Global Locate Inc. San Jose, Calif. NA/NA Siemens Venture Capital. Develops global positioning system products for wireless devices. The details of the funding were not disclosed in a regulatory filing. But the company has been raising a $25M Series D funding. It is unclear if the Siemens deal is part of that Series D round. The company had previously raised $22M from Firsthand Capital Management and GC Investments.
Paratek Microwave Inc. Columbia, Md. $15M/C Polaris Venture Partners, Morgenthaler Ventures, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Investor Growth, ABS Ventures. Develops miniaturized 3D RF devices to reduce power consumption of wireless handsets.
Tatara Systems Acton, Mass. $6M/C Highland Capital Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners. Develops software and equipment for wireless networks. The company has raised $24M since 2003.
TensorComm Inc. Denver $7M/B Centennial Ventures (led), Access Venture Partners, Crawley Ventures, iSherpa Capital. Provides wireless technology for carriers to increase network capacity. Steve Halstedt, managing director and co-founder of Centennial, will join the board.
