SEP appts

Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has appointed Jane Fisken as an investment director in its healthcare & life sciences group. Dr Fisken was formerly managing director and global head of life sciences in Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s private equity division. There she was heavily involved in wider efforts to support and promote further investment in the industry. Previously she was one of the top rated City biotech analysts focusing on the European sector. Her earlier career included coverage of the European pharmaceutical sector and management of late stage clinical trials for the Cancer Research Campaign. She will be based in SEP’s London office.

Walter Nimmo, formerly chairman and chief executive of Inveresk Research, has joined the investment advisory board of SEP. Inveresk, which has over 1,000 employees in Scotland and 3,000 globally, was NASDAQ-listed prior to its US$1.5bn merger with Charles River Laboratories in October last year.
