CamberView Partners has named Robert Zivnuska as a principal. Prior to joining CamberView, Zivnuska worked at BlackRock, where he headed corporate governance for the Americas. Based in San Francisco, CamberView is an investment advisory firm.

CTPartners has named Thomas Moran as a vice chairman in its global financial services practice. Moran, who has more than 20 years of executive search experience, will be based in the firm’s Chicago office. CTPartners also named Carlos F. Cata as managing partner. Cata also will be based in the firm’s Chicago office. Headquartered in New York, with offices all over the world, CTPartners is an executive search firm that serves a wide variety of sectors, including private equity and venture capital.

Chicago-based law firm Freeborn & Peters has expanded its private equity and venture capital industry team with the hiring of Gary A. Jungels. Jungels, who will also serve as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice group, has extensive experience in private equity and venture capital, and specifically fund formations and joint ventures.

Hercules Technology Growth Capital has boosted its origination platform and credit teams with three new hires. Tony Pandjiris has joined the firm as managing director of its technology group in the company’s Palo Alto, California, office. Also, Christopher Parham joins the same office as principal of the life science group. And, in the company’s Boston office, Mark Roesler has been named portfolio credit manager. Hercules Technology Growth Capital is a specialty finance firm that provides senior loans in tech-related markets.

The law firm Ice Miller has hired Edward Braum as a partner in the business group of its Columbus, Ohio, office, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and debt and equity investments. Prior to Ice Miller, Braum worked for 14 years in the New York office of Goodwin Procter in the business law department and private equity group.

Indian River Advisors has expanded its team. Stan Paul, Chuck Teubner and Chris Hamilton have all joined as partners. Also, Andrew Scherer, who is currently serving as the firm’s director of research, recently became a full partner. Based in Washington, D.C., Indian River Advisors is a corporate development consulting and investment banking firm that works with mid-market companies.

Scott Meyer has joined executive search firm McDermott & Bull Executive Search as principal consultant to help in the expansion of the firm’s consumer products and private equity practices. Meyer has past experience working in management positions as private equity portfolio companies, as well as consulting for multiple private equity portfolio companies owned by firms such as Harbinger Capital Partners and MidOcean Partners.

Monroe Capital has appointed Bradley Nii as managing director in its Los Angeles office. Nii, formerly a managing director at investment bank B. Riley & Co, where he was responsible for capital raising and financial advisory services to middle market companies, will serve as Monroe Capital’s group head for the Southern California region. Warren Woo, also located in Los Angeles, will continue in his current role as a partner of Monroe Capital Partners Fund, an SBIC fund formed in 2011.

Investment bank Nomura has expanded its team in the Americas with the appointment of six managing directors. They are Edward Aitken, Richard Eisenberg, Ben Adams, Christopher Turner, William Hunter and Georges Azzam.

Financial services firm Perella Weinberg Partners has hired Jonathan Prather as a partner in its advisory business. Previously, Prather, who is based in New York, worked at Goldman Sachs & Co’s global industrials group, where he served as a managing director.

Timothy A. Spangler has joined the law firm Sidley Austin in Los Angeles as a partner and member of Sidley’s global investment funds, advisers and derivatives practice. Spangler brings extensive experience in advising clients on an array of investment vehicles and related securities and regulatory issues.

Stephens Inc has expanded its New York office by adding nine sales and trading professionals from Lazard Capital Markets. Michael Conte will head sales trading for Stephens while Jimmy Law and Anthony Pignio will serve as managing directors and position traders. Matt Delia, Bill Burchfield, and Marylou Panza have been named managing directors. George Boudria and Michael Sheehan are joining the team as senior vice president and Jeffrey Castellano will serve as vice president. Stephens Inc is an independent investment bank focused on mid-market companies.

Waterstone Management Group has expanded its team with the addition of three affiliate partners. Joining the firm are Tom Manning, John Parkinson and John Lieblang. Headquartered in Chicago, Waterstone is a strategic advisory firm that serves business leaders and private equity investors.

Winston & Strawn has appointed Jared A. Hershberg to its New York office as a private equity partner in the corporate practice. Hershberg most recently was a partner at Morrison Cohen LLP. His practice focuses on private equity investments, private investment funds and mergers and acquisitions.
