CTPartners has hired Robert Wilder as managing partner of Middle East and North Africa. He will be based in the firm’s Dubai office. Wilder previously worked at Spencer Stuart. Headquartered in New York, with offices all over the world, CTPartners is an executive search firm that serves a wide variety of sectors, including private equity and venture capital.

Global investment firm Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has hired Philip Poole as head of research. Previously, Poole worked at HSBC Global Asset Management, where he served as global head of macro and investment strategy.

Euro Pacific Canada has hired Prakash Gowd to be managing director of healthcare investment banking. Based in Euro Pacific’s Toronto office, Gowd, who previously worked at GlaxoSmithKline and as a pharmaceutical consultant, will lead the firm’s investment banking activities in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors. Euro Pacific Canada is a brokerage firm.

Gardere Wynne Sewell has hired corporate partners George Lee III and Evan Stone, along with associate Rebecca Brame, to the firm’s Dallas office. The attorneys join from Lee & Stone, a Dallas boutique co-founded by Lee and Stone in 2009 that focused on representing advisers to private investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and venture capital funds, as well as private and public corporations.

Genii Capital, a Luxembourg-based investment management and financial advisory firm, in the finance division of The Genii Group, has appointed Andrew Ruhan as a partner to strengthen and broaden its reach in the real estate, oil and gas, automotive and financial services sectors. Ruhan, a veteran of the property industry in Europe and international investment, most recently was the chairman and CEO of Bridgehouse Capital Ltd, a private equity investment advisory firm.

Doug Smith has joined Insight’s corporate insurance consultancy business. Smith has held previous senior positions as chairman of Marsh’s private equity practice and as non-executive deputy chairman of Willis M&A practice.

Monroe Capital has appointed Matthew Evans to the firm’s healthcare team as managing director in its Chicago office. Prior to joining Monroe Capital, Evans was a principal at Beverly Capital, a healthcare focused private equity firm.

Northern Trust has expanded its alternatives group with two appointments focused on investment opportunities in venture capital and secondary markets for private equity. James R. ”Trey” Hart III joined Northern Trust from Greenspring Associates, and Adam R. Freda was previously at Wind Point Partners.

Financial services firm REORIENT Group has hired Jeremy Gray as a managing director and Andrew Mullins as a senior equity sales trader. Both will be based in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Prior to joining REORIENT, Gray worked at Standard Chartered, where he was head of resources equity research, while Mullins was at Wellington Management, where he served as senior Asian equity trader.
