Business development company Alcentra Capital Corp has named David P. Scopelliti as a senior vice president at Alcentra NY, Alcentra’s adviser. Previously, Scopelliti worked at GarMark, where he was a principal.

Asenti Diligence Partners has expanded its team with a newly established office in Cleveland. Josh Melitschka is joining the Cleveland team. Prior to joining Asenti, he was a senior manager at BBP Partners and at Deloitte’s M&A transaction services practices. Kevin Berry, a recent graduate of the University of Dayton, will support deal teams from Asenti’s Cleveland office.

Investment bank BTIG has named William Buchanan Jr. as head of investment banking and Graham Powis as head of capital markets. Prior to joining BTIG, both worked at Lazard, with Buchanan serving as CEO of capital markets and Powis working as head of U.S. equity capital markets. Also, BTIG promoted K.C. Stone to head of healthcare investment banking. Stone joined BTIG in 20102 as a managing director.

Cambridge Associates has hired Alex Koriath as head of the UK pension practice. Koriath joins Cambridge from KPMG’s investment advisory team in London, where he worked as director and head of fiduciary management advisory services and head of manager research.

Global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald has hired Randall Miles as senior managing director and chief operating officer for its investment banking group. Previously, Miles worked at Riparian Partners, a division of Oppenheimer & Co, where he served as a managing director. Cantor Fitzgerald Europe has hired Eric Bourguignon as director of consumer and retail in the firm’s corporate finance team. Previously, Bourguignon worked at the HSBC investment bank, where he served as senior vice president on the retail coverage team.

Investment firm D.A. Davidson & Co has named Craig Korte as a managing director in the firm’s Chicago office. In his new position, Korte will focus on mid-market industrial firms. Previously, Korte worked at Lazard, where he served as a director in the firm’s mid-market industrials group.

Equiteq has hired David Jorgenson as global head of M&A. Jorgenson’s experience includes working at Robert W. Baird. Equiteq is an M&A adviser for consulting firms.

Evercore Partners has formed a European debt advisory business led by Swag Ganguly, who has joined the firm as a senior managing director from Rothschild in London. Ganguly will be supported by Mark Craig, who joins as a managing director from Lloyds Bank in London.

Rye Brook, New York-based Full Circle Capital, a business development company, has named Terence “Tad” Flynn to its board of directors. Flynn is a managing director at Houlihan Lokey.

Medley LLC has hired Peter McLaughlin as a managing director on its direct lending team. McLaughlin most recently worked as a managing director at CIFC and with Longroad Asset Management, where he was head of origination. Medley, based in New York, specializes in credit investing, including direct private lending and corporate credit related strategies.

Private equity advisory firm Method Advisors has hired Orlando Mendoza as a partner working out of its Boston office. Mendoza, who came from Twin Focus Equity Partners, where he led the private equity global advisory practice, will focus on co-investments, fund investments and business development. Prior to Twin Focus, Mendoza worked at Harvard Management Company on the private equity portfolio.

Neuberger Berman has appointed Clifford Chiu, a former partner member at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, as senior adviser to Neuberger Berman Asia. Chiu will work across the Asia Pacific region to help Neuberger Berman build its Asian client base.

Law firm Perkins Coie has hired Arman Pahlavan as a partner in the firm’s emerging companies and venture capital and private equity practice groups. Previously, Pahlavan worked at Squire Patton Boggs, where he was a partner.

Federal prosecutor Marc P. Berger has joined the New York office of Ropes & Gray. He will be a partner in Ropes & Gray’s government enforcement practice. Berger previously served as the chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

Advisory firm SierraConstellation Partners has appointed Jeff Nerland as a senior director. Nerland, based in Los Angeles, has 30 years of turnaround experience in a variety of sectors, including the retail and restaurant industries.

SunTrust Robinson Humphrey has hired four finance industry executives to its capital markets team. The firm hired Ron Caldwell and Akis Psarris as managing directors, and Ricardo Simon and Matt Holbrook as directors. Caldwell joins SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as head of healthcare syndicated and leveraged finance after 14 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Psarris has joined the firm’s liability management practice from Lloyds Bank. Simon, who will head up SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s commercial real estate and REIT syndicated finance practice, came from Wells Fargo, and Holbrook joins the syndicated and leveraged finance group from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
