Brookside Mezzanine Partners has hired Michael J. Mahon Jr. as an analyst. Previously, Mahon worked in Stifel Nicolaus’ investment banking division, where he was an analyst.

Law firm Cooley has hired Pang Lee as a partner in the global private investment funds group. He will work out of the firm’s Shanghai office. Prior to Cooley, Lee was counsel in the asset management group at Shearman & Sterling’s Hong Kong office. Lee focuses on the formation and operation of private investment funds, including venture capital, buyout and special situation funds.

Investment firm D.A. Davidson has named Paula Poskon and Barry Oxford to lead the firm’s new real estate research team. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Poskon was a real estate analyst for Robert W. Baird & Co, while Oxford was an analyst for Discern. Poskon’s appointment will begin on Sept. 2 while Oxford began on July 28.

Evercore Partners has hired Mark Hanson as a senior managing director in the healthcare group. Hanson, who will be based in the New York office, was most recently a managing director of investment banking in the healthcare group at Barclays since 2008, when Barclays bought the U.S. businesses of Lehman Brothers. Evercore also named Rodney Reid as a managing director in the firm’s private capital advisory business. Previously, Reid worked at UBS, where he served as an executive director and head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa secondary advisory.

Business development company Hercules Technology Growth Capital has added Thomas Fallon to its board of directors. Fallon is the CEO of Infinera Corp. Hercules also has named Brian Sapp as managing director. Sapp was a director in Robert W. Baird & Co’s investment banking group. It also has hired Micah Merrick and Catherine Jhung as principals. Merrick has 10 years of experience focusing on sustainable development, energy efficiency and renewable technologies. Jhung previously was vice president of business development at the CleanTech Group.

Financial services firm Janney Montgomery Scott has named Michael Lynfield as first vice president of investments at its Fairfield, Connecticut, branch. He will be joined by Mike Kozik and both will form the Lynfield Kozik Investment Group. Previously, Lynfield worked at Wells Fargo Bank, where he was a senior vice president, while Kozik worked at Wells Fargo Advisors.

Law firm Jenner & Block has hired Jason D. Osborn as a corporate partner for its private equity and M&A practices. Previously, Osborn worked at Kirkland & Ellis, where he was a partner.

LCG Advisors has launched LCG Private Client Group. No financial terms were disclosed. LCG’s Private Client Group will focus on providing private wealth planning and investment management services. LCG named Rafael Williamson as its chief investment officer. Previously, Williamson worked at Wells Fargo Private Bank, where he served as a senior investment strategist.

Maranon Capital has hired Greg Daniele as an associate to focus on evaluating new deals, investment underwriting and portfolio management. Prior to Maranon, Daniele was a senior analyst in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Martin LLP, a Stamford, Connecticut-based law firm, said that John Capetta has joined the firm to lead its private equity practice group. Capetta joins from Kelley Drye & Warren, where he was chair of the firm-wide private equity practice group.

The Townsend Group has hired Patricia Rodrigues as a principal in the London office. Rodrigues will lead the firm’s real assets business, which focuses on building real assets portfolios for institutional investors through fund investments, secondaries and co-investments. Rodrigues has held positions with the UK government’s Green Investment Bank and Macquarie Group in London.
