Lightspeed Venture Partners, Madrone Capital Partners (MCP Holdings) and Pantheon Capital are working together to raise a new Chinese investment fund, according to a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. The fund, called DT Capital Partners Fund II, has raised $64.5 million of a targeted $130 million.
The Cayman Islands-based fund will be managed by Roman Shaw, one of the founders of Hong Kong’s DragonTech Ventures.
Shaw is one of Hong Kong’s best known VCs. He left DragonTech Ventures after attempting to raise a new fund for an extended period. There is no website yet for the new firm.
