Six Degrees of Separation

Paige Daly

has left Apax Partners, where she had been a New York-based partner in the firm’s retail and consumer group. Her future plans are unknown, although one possibility is that she could join former Apax retail pros likeDavid Landau

at LNK Partners. Landau had spent 14 years with Apax, having originally joined when the firm was still run byAlan Patricof,

who since has moved on to found early-stage VC firm Greycroft Partners. Patricof is a major Democratic Party player in New York City, and currently serves as chairman ofHillary Clinton’s

senatorial campaign committee. Earlier this year, Clinton received a rare presidential endorsement fromOprah Winfrey,

who several years ago hosted Patricof’s GOP doppelgangerTed Forstmann

on her program, to discuss an education initiative. Forstmann is a longtime friend and sponsor ofVijay Singh,

a Fiji-born golfer who currently ranks fifth on the PGA Tour leaderboard. Way down at #192 isJohn Daly,

known better for his off-the-course problems than for his long drives.
