Spangler leaves BLP

Timothy Spangler, a partner at Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) in the investment management group, has left the UK law firm for US outfit Kaye Scholer, where he will be global head of their investment funds practice.

The move makes him Kaye Scholer’s first investment funds lawyer in its six-strong London team, and its second partner. The London office is headed up by Guilherme Brafman.

Spangler has been at BLP since 2002, joining from Latham and Watkins. He specialised in fund formation, from private equity funds to hedge funds through VC funds and fund-of-funds.
